Drawing in Shellac Steps:

  1. Prep the nail as usual, basecoat, and cure 10 seconds.
  2. Apply a layer of your base color, I’m using Tutti Frutti. Cure two minutes.
  3. Apply a second layer of your base color, cure two minutes.
  4. Apply a layer of a second color, I’m using Purple Purple. You want this layer to be very smooth and even because this is the color you are going to see the most of. Do not cure it yet.
  5. Now you are going to draw in the Shellac. You can use a brush or a dotting tool. I’m using a dotting tool for my design. Draw whatever you want into the Shellac, I did stripes. Then I put some lines going the other direction just to give the design more interest.
  6. Once you have your design the way you want it, cure two minutes.
  7. Top coat and cure two minutes.
  8. As always, rub with alcohol and solar oil. Enjoy!
