I had my first Shellac Manicure on the 11th March 2012 and it is now the 19th March 2012. So I have had my Shellac nails for 9 days so far and have 6 more days left to complete the 14 days that has been recommended to last. Im quite confident that my Shellac Manicure will last a bit longer than the estimated time. I love having my Shellac nails as they feel like my own nails but have not chipped or snapped like my own nails. My hands are always in water with either washing up or cleaning the kitchen, bathrooms and floors. The Shellac nail varnish allows your own nails to grow underneath which is a bonus as I have tried for years to grow my nails and at last I have found something that actually works. I would definately recommend the Shellac Manicure to family and friends as it is the best nail product I have ever used. I tried Acrylic nails some years ago, but found that I could not get on with them and they felt fake and when it came to taking them off, my nails were weaker than ever.

I love shellac nails! I’m 13 and did not want to get acrylics because they ruin your nail beds. When I first heard about shellac, I was skeptical, but when I got them I was AMAZED! The place I go to has a great variety of colors and does a really good job. I do a lot of sports (volleyball, basketball, lacrosse) that require the use of your hands and my nails lasted for almost three weeks! I do not recommend peeling them off because they will take the first layer of your nails with them. However, I do recommend soaking them and then scraping them off. I usually let the manicurists do it when I go back for my next color, though. Overall, great stuff!
i just got my first shellac manicure exactly a weak ago. At first was not impressed by the colour at all. to me it seemed dull and fairly transparent, not shiny as it is described. It has grown in quite a bit over the past week, and is very noticeable in the cuticle section. I do plan to try shellac again in another couple weeks, but i am going to try a different salon next time and see how that goes.
I was wondering what Wattage nail dryer to get for Shellac?

I love having these Shellac nails as they really feel like your own but are a lot stronger, my own nails no longer chip or crack because I have the Shellac nail varnish proctecting them and helping them to grow. This is the best my nails have ever been,I still have 6 days to go to compleat the 14 days, but I know they could last even longer and then I will have the Shellac Manicure done again.
I have had wonderful results with the Shellac standard colors, however i am extremely upset at the result of two french applications, my nails were beautiful and naturally pretty white, and now after four weeks they have turned yellow, please help, what can i do or what can my technician do to remove the yellow from my nails, is there a known problem with the french application?
i love love love shellac!!!! I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO REGULAR NAIL POLISH.
